NOTE: If you have a Palm organizer running Palm OS 3.3 or
higher, you do not need to have Hebrew installed to run Omer
version 1.11. You do need to have Luach
installed and running.
The following sequence must be followed in order to install Omer
on the Palm (Treo/ Visor/ Sony Clie) organizer:
1 Download
Omer Version 1.11. This file is named "omer111.zip".
2 Save the file to your hard drive and remember the filename and location.
If prompted to overwrite files, say "Yes". A zip file
is a compressed file which contains several files within it.
3 You'll need WinZip
(or a similar program) to extract the files out of the "zip"
file. (If you are using a MacIntosh computer, use StuffIt).
If prompted to overwrite files, say "Yes". Remember the
location of the extracted files.
For more information, read the readme.txt file.
4 Using the Palm Install Tool (that
is provided as part of the Palm desktop software), install the "omer.prc"
file on your computer.
5 Perform a HotSync in order to transfer
the file to your organizer.
6 On your organizer, tap the Omer
icon
to run the application.
7 The first time you run Omer, you will be asked to set your Omer preferences.
NOTE Fix the Luach to display 2 days for holidays
and not 1 day (or 8 days and not 7 days).
NOTE Fix Israeli cities to show
the correct times for Daylight Savings Time.
